Hi All!!!

Here we go, winding up for our sixth season.  We hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and a healthy winter.  We are really looking forward to a busy summer, and we are hoping that all of our previous employees will join us again for another season.

We will be busy this winter planning our next big venture, a regional race that includes all the racing organizations that have been racing here over the years and some that haven’t.  This race will be on July 6, 7 & 8, 2007.  Friday the 6th will be an all day practice, and then racing on Saturday & Sunday.  We will be using both tracks at the same time, so we will need all the staff we can get to run this race.  We hope you will be interested in working this very BIG weekend.

I have enclosed our schedule and a form for you to fill out and send back to me by the end of February.  Please fill in your address, phone numbers and email address, so I can update my data bank, the positions you are interested in working at, and the dates you can commit to.  For the NESC races I will need the regular crew, for NEMX races I will need no scoring crew, but I will need everyone else.  And for NEMA I will need admission people, concession and waterers,   If everyone sends back their form, you will save me a lot of time making phone calls before a race.  I will get back to you as soon as I have it all organized, to let you know when I need you from the dates you give me.   If you are not interested in returning please write that on the form and send it back also.  Thank you in advance for your speedy reply.

Pay:  ALL flaggers must sign in & out in order to get paid.  The sign in/out sheet is located in the sign-up building, everyone else will have a time card to sign in on. For employees on payroll, your check will be sent out Friday or Saturday after the race or you can make arrangements to pick it up.

Safety:  ALL employees must sign a waiver form, if you are a minor, I will require a release form from one of your parents.  Minors may work at HMXP if they have a notarized permission slip releasing HMXP from liability, the permission slip is filled out legibly and completely and they are working between the dates written on the permission slip.  If you have any questions, please give me a call.  These forms are also included with this packet.

Helicopter precautions:  If the helicopter needs to land at HMXP, stay as far away from the helicopter as you can get (preferably outside of the fence), especially if you are not involved with helping the patient or crew.  Please keep ALL spectators behind the fences.  If you know the helicopter is on its way, make sure there is nothing sitting on the ground that could be blown up into the air like flags, bottles, trash, coolers or lawn chairs.  These items could be blown up into the air and interfere with the landing or take off, or could become missals that could potentially fatally injure someone.  Get these and any other items as far away as possible from the landing pad.  Once the helicopter has left, get back to your position as soon as possible.

Proper clothing:  Please wear your HMXP polo shirt if you have one.  No low cut or belly shirts will be allowed, please wear appropriate shirt when working.  Sandals are only allowed for employees inside the sign-up building.  All other employees must wear closed toe shoe or sneakers.  NO bathing suits allowed at any time.  I suggest a hat, long sleeve shirt sun glasses and sun block for those working out side.  I also suggest, incase of bad weather,  you bring a rain coat and/or umbrella, boots, sweater or sweatshirt, warm coat, gloves and winter hat.  The weather can change drastically in a matter of minutes.

Food & Drink:  HMXP will provide free water for all employees.  I suggest you bring a small cooler to fill up in the morning, please stay hydrated; it can get very hot and dry.  You may bring your own food or purchase it at the concession stand.  You will usually get a lunch break between the morning and afternoon motos.

Volunteers:  Those volunteering their services will receive free food & drinks.  All other policies/ rules apply.

Parking:  will be in the same place it was last season, behind the old sign-up building.  Please park up against the woods or up against the white fence, that way we can get more vehicles in that area.

Employment opportunities:  We are always looking for flaggers, if you know someone interested, please have them contact me.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment to helping us make this a successful business for all the families that enjoy motocross.

Respectfully,

Serae
