1.
Only
riders holding a valid MMS competition card or one
day membership are eligible to participate in MMS
events.
2.
No one
except riders officially entered in any event may
ride or practice on any race track the day of an
event. Anyone participating without properly
registering may be prosecuted as a trespasser.
3.
In order
to race, each rider and mechanic must sign a
separate release of liability form. In addition, a
waiver of liability must be signed by a parent or
legal guardian if the rider is under 18 years old.
The parent or legal guardian must remain
present at all times during participation.
4.
Practice:
There is only one practice per rider. Any rider
found practicing in any other rider classification
other than the one in which the rider is classified
will be downed a lap in their first moto. Practice
will be timed instead of a number of laps (example:
7” practice for amateurs).
5.
Riders
or mechanics not paying the proper admission fees or
contributing to spectators, other riders or
mechanics not paying proper admission fees my be
disqualified and or suspended from MMS competition
for up to 31 days for the first offense, and one
year for the second offense.
6.
For all
riders under 18, both rider and parent or legal
guardian with notarized written proof of
guardianship must sign a Minor Release form at each
event. The parent or legal guardian must remain at
the event the entire time the rider is
participating. No parent or legal guardian
equals no riding.
7.
Event
entry checks should be made out to the track the
event is being held at. Put your rider number in
the lower left corner of the check. All check must
be dated the day of the event and signed. All
entries received without checks, unsigned check or
post-dated check will not be accepted. A $15.00
administrations charge will be assessed.
8.
Any
check that is returned to the track for
non-sufficient funds and or stop-payment shall be
assessed a $25.00 bank penalty per check and the
rider will be suspended until proper payment is
made.
9.
It is
the responsibility of the rider to enter the class
in which he or she is eligible to participate. The
responsibility of meeting specifications is the
rider’s. Penalty will be disqualification.
10.
Entry
fees: $25.00 for all classes per day except 125cc
and 250cc Experts which is $30.00 per class. You
must pay the correct entry fee with your entry. If
you do not, you will not be considered “entered” for
that event. Special events as advertised.
11.
Persons
coming to sign up after 8 a.m. to register will be
assessed a $10.00 late fee.
12.
MMS and
its officials reserve the right to limit entries at
all events.
13.
Entry
fees are not refundable or transferable.
The only exception is if a rider who doubts the
competence of the track officials or has concerns
about the safety of the track or their own ability
to negotiate the track. In this case they must
request a refund of their entry fees before
practice begins. Admission fees are not refundable
or transferable for any reason, no exceptions.
14.
Rider
and mechanic sign-in will be from 6:30am to 8am the
morning of the event. Evening sign up will be held
at the discretion of the individual tracks.
15.
The
promoter and or MMS do not provide medical coverage
insurance, and medical coverage insurance is not
available at the events. All participants at MMS
events are responsible for all medical bill, doctor
bills, ambulance fees and hospital bills that have
been incurred as the result of participation at any
MMS event.
16.
Upon
signing in, rider and mechanic must:
a.
Show MMS
rider competition card.
b.
When
applicable, provide written proof of permission to
participate in the event (notarized guardianship
papers when parent is not present).
c.
Mechanics must sign mechanics release forms.
d.
Show
proof of paid admission (wrist band).
e.
All
parents or legal guardians must sign in at each
event with riders under 18 years old.
17.
All
entry forms must be signed by the rider in ink. If
the rider is under 18 a parent or legal guardian
must sign the forms. MMS will refuse the entry of
any rider or mechanic who is actively disqualified
and or suspended.
18.
If you
change bikes after sign up, you must notify “sign
up” as soon as the change is made by filling out a
bike change form at sign up. Riders failing to
notify MMS of a bike change will be docked one lap.
If a change occurs on the starting line due to a
last minute problem, the new bike must be eligible
for that class and the starter must be informed
prior to the gate drop.
19.
At the
discretion of MMS and or the track referee, when a
class has more riders than can properly be placed on
the starting gate, one of the following may occur:
a.
A small
number of riders (less than 10) may start from
behind the first row at the gate.
b.
Qualifiers may be run.
20.
Sharing
dirt bikes; a bike may be entered by two or more
riders for another class within the same bike
classification by paying the entry fee for each
class.
21.
First
moto laps are at the discretion of the MMS and track
referees. For the second moto the referees
determine laps considering time, weather and or
track conditions. The referee’s decision is final. |
