The MMS
member / rider must make the protest, even when the
rider is a minor.

You have
30 minutes after the results are
posted to file a protest. If you have a problem
with the results, please see a MMS official at sign
up immediately. It is your responsibility to check
the results. Do not remove result postings from the
results board. MMS will have an exact copy in sign
up.

You have
30 minutes after the results are
posted to file a protest. If you have a problem
with another rider’s classification, motorcycle
displacement, or any other items that are relative
to his or her class, you must file a protest in
writing (forms are available at sign up) to a
referee with $25.00. If tear down of a motorcycle
is required, the tear down must be supervised and
the appropriate measurements made by an MMS
official. A protest fee of $100.00 is required for
all reasonable expenses connected with the tear
down. In the event that the protest is valid, the
rider that submitted the protest will receive his or
her money back. If the protest is not valid the
money will go to the rider that was protested. Only
a rider of that particular moto may file a protest
of that moto.

Protested riders or classes shall have no bearing in
the promotional or championship points except for
the protested event and only in the protested class.

All
decisions on protests will be made as soon as
possible, but if it is not possible to decide the
protest immediately the referee and or MMS may
permit the rider and dirt bike to compete, under
protest. Any points, trophies, and or monies won
will be withheld pending the decision of the
protest.

The
referee has the power to disqualify riders as the
result of any protest.
7.
In cases
where the protest involves displacement, the referee
shall call for an engine measurement after the
race. If the displacement exceeds the allowable
limitations the rider of that bike shall be
suspended for not less than 15 days. Shall forfeit
any awards won with that bike in all events run that
day.
8.
Any
rider refusing to permit the examination of a bike
which is protested shall forfeit awards won in
events that day and shall be suspended for not less
than 30 days.
9.
Once
made, a protest cannot be withdrawn without the
permission of the referee the protest was made to.
Should permission be granted to withdraw the protest
the fee will be refunded.
10.
If the
referee sees a violation – he can disqualify a rider
without a formal protest.
11.
All
decisions made by the referees are final. |
